Help From Rehab Program
It’s not easy to quit. Addiction is not something you can totally get rid off overnight since it will take time to be completely free from it. A rehab program is one tool patients can rely on to help them overcome their addiction. Enrolling in a program is one wise move every patient must take if they want to be cured. It includes a step by step treatment and guidance from experts. It is tested and proven effective and is conducted with the supervisions of a trained individual. Though more affordable programs are run by the state, they don’t promise long term treatments compared to those offered by private rehab centers. That’s why you have to be extra careful in choosing a rehabilitation program.
You should know exactly what you’re looking for in a program. You must have a copy of the medical history and personal data of the patient who’s going to enroll in the program. You should also consider the patient’s status and how severe the case is. Rehabilitation programs are very flexible so there’s something for everybody. They include long term or short term treatments. You may even opt for an inpatient, outpatient, or residential treatment program. Make sure that you get only the best trained professionals and specialists to handle your patient. It is absolutely pointless being in a program with somebody who doesn’t even know what he’s doing in the first place.
Rehab programs vary a lot that finding the most appropriate one can be hard work. The programs differ in their philosophies, services, and credentials. They also involve different kinds of professionals working for them. Most importantly, the cost varies. Before deciding on a particular program, make sure you find one that suits you best in all aspects. You can do this by inquiring about them. You can conduct your own little research through the internet or by interviewing other patients who had gone through rehab. Read about patient testimonials and reviews as they can come in handy in your search.
You can combat drug and alcohol addiction. Enrolling in a legit program is an ideal move you must take to say goodbye to addiction. The right program sees to it that you get all the help you need through the expertise and guidance of reliable professionals.

Online Education Degree – 7 Things You Must Do Right to Succeed
The ability to obtain an online education degree has opened the educational doors for many students who cannot afford to attend school on campus as a full-time student. Distance learning courses definitely provide some advantages over the traditional college education. But, because of the methods of delivering and receiving the material, students must consider the 7 things necessary in approaching an online education successfully.
1. Choosing the best education online institution – Make sure the institute for higher education chosen has adequate resources and accreditation recognized by the proper authorities. Unless authenticity can be verified, find another school. Sadly, unscrupulous degree mills offer degrees with short-term or no real education. Thus, the diplomas are bogus and absolutely worthless. Find a school that provides solid education, ample student support, and the facilities necessary to succeed in your distance learning.
2. Evaluate the cost and benefits – Generally, obtaining an online education is a costly venture. Most people do not realize the cost is often more than a traditional education. So, it is important to evaluate the desired online education degree, and determine whether the benefit of future income opportunities will offer the reward for gaining an online degree.
3. How do employers view an online education degree? – There are many instances where employers were skeptical about the legitimacy of online education degrees. With so many “diploma mills” out there, it’s warranted for employers to be cautious. Although an online education degree might be legit, it would be very helpful to the employer if you provided the type of accreditation your college has beforehand to avoid any misunderstanding. By letting the employer know in advance that your institution was accredited by an institution that is recognized by CHEA and US department of Education, you will be a step ahead in qualifying for that dream job.
4. Discipline, determination, and time – First time distance learning students are often surprised by the amount of discipline necessary to stay on task and complete the online assignment. It takes unfaltering determination to achieve an online education. In addition, without regularly scheduled classes, it is essential to exercise good time management skills. To keep focused, without the physical presence of educator and peers, it is important to establish communication with other students to have another push toward success in your education degree online
5. Utilize all the facilities provided – Online courses generally provide online lectures and email correspondence to ensure a means of communication with instructors, tutors, and fellow students. Take advantage of every opportunity to utilize these resources of motivation and encouragement, as well as establish a sense of connection with the college or university.
6. Make use of credit transfers – Many online education degree colleges allow students to transfer their credits from courses they took in previous colleges, whether online or traditional. By doing this, it means students don’t have to repeat courses they learnt before. For this to be effected, it’s important for a student who intends to pursue an education online to make sure they get transcripts and results from their previous universities or colleges and make them available to their accredited online college so they can be passed as transfer credits.
7. Make use of the educational technology – Accredited online universities offer a plethora of opportunities for doing necessary research and other facilities to ensure adequate completion of the course. Normally, the cost of virtual libraries, the programs to access online lectures, and even student online access and e-mail accounts are factored into the cost of the course. Therefore, it only makes sense to use all the technology available to make the most of the educational opportunity in achieving an online education degree.

Asking the Right Questions Improves Stress Management
This article discusses how our inner questioning plays a significant role in stress management. Throughout the day we have an internal conversation which often takes the form of asking questions about the events we experience. It’s these questions that we need to become aware of as they impact directly on the way we perceive a situation.
When experiencing a stressful event we often start to ask silent questions in our minds, without even being aware of it. For example, when thinking about a stressful situation you may ask yourself:
Why is life always so difficult?
What have I done to deserve this?
What was I thinking?
Why is this happening to me?
These types of questions are what I call poor quality questioning because they affirm you as a victim of your circumstances and produce feelings of stress. They also don’t make you feel any better about your situation. They sabotage our stress management capability.
When you ask yourself the question: Why is life always so difficult? you’re setting yourself up for a pessimistic outlook by reaffirming that life is difficult and that you are powerless against its hardships. Is life really difficult all the time or would it be more accurate to say that sometimes we face challenges that need to be overcome and they are part of the journey of our lives?
A valuable stress management technique is to be constantly aware of the questions you are asking yourself because poor quality questions often create feelings of stress and prevent you from being optimistic by focusing your thoughts on all the negative aspects of your situation. These thoughts often snowball and, before you know it, you become stressed and anxious. By checking your inner questioning and ensuring that you’re asking good quality questions your feelings of stress will be kept at bay and your stress management improves.
So how do you turn poor quality questions into constructive ones? The first step is to become aware of your poor quality questions and to make a conscious effort to be mindful of your inner chatter. Observe self-talk closely and keep continual watch over it.
The next step in this stress management tool is to become aware of the harmful nature of poor quality questions and the stress it can create. When you are mindful of the questions you are asking yourself, you’ll be able to identify if they are of poor quality and how to replace these with constructive questions.
Here are a few questions to consider:
What can I learn from this experience?
How can I use this situation to learn more about myself?
Where is the opportunity in this problem?
How can I ensure that I don’t repeat the situation?
How can I use this experience to learn patience and tolerance?
How could I have prevented this problem?
What can I do differently next time?
By consciously asking yourself questions like these you reframe a potentially stressful situation into one that can be a valuable experience for you and begin to take more control of your stress management ability.
Putting it into practise
To apply this in practise start by becoming aware of your inner questioning throughout the day. Focus your awareness on what questions you’re asking yourself silently in your mind; it’s this inner chatter that you need to become more familiar with. Once you are aware of your inner questioning it will be easier to recognise poor quality questions when they arise.
Let’s use a practical stress management example to see how we can change poor quality questioning in a stressful situation.
You’ve been asked to report on an important project that you’ve been responsible for in a weekly work meeting. Unfortunately, things have not gone according to plan and you need to tell everyone why the project is no longer on track.
Response 1: Poor quality questioning (usual default thinking)
While you’re waiting to deliver your report your mind starts to stream poor quality questions. You start asking yourself: What are they going to think of me? What if they take me off this project? How will I ever get that bonus I want?
You start feeling stressed and anxious.
Response 2: Using constructive questioning (a great stress management tip)
While you’re waiting your mind starts asking quality questions. You ask yourself: How can I use this situation to my advantage? What lessons have I learned from this experience? What if I focus on showing them my problem solving abilities and the benefits that this challenging situation has brought about?
You start to see a solution to your stressful situation and begin to relax.
Asking constructive questions helps your stress management in challenging circumstances and maintains a positive state of mind.
Get to know the content of your inner chatter and be mindful of any negative questioning that may sabotage your feelings of optimism and stress management capability.
If you find that your questioning is creating a pessimistic view of a situation, change your focus by asking yourself positive questions. You’ll become open to a way of thinking that supports you in life’s challenges.
